e-Consent for Campus Finance/Student Records access allows you to access your student account and financial aid information online and gives permission for Cashiers, Student Financial Assistance and the Registrar's office to exchange emails with you regarding person specific information. You have the right to receive your financial notices in printed format. However, with your e-Consent, your transactions can be processed faster than if you have to wait for mail from our offices or conduct business in person. The choice is yours.
You must read and agree to the following information and conditions in order to complete the Campus Finance/Student Records e-Consent process. You may withdraw your e-Consent at any time by completing an e-Consent Withdrawal Form, available from the University of Missouri Cashiers Office, 15 Jesse Hall, Columbia, MO 65211.
By granting e-Consent, you will have full access to the following electronic information and online processes:
- myZou Student Center including Cashiers, Financial Aid and Records & Registration.
- Student account and billing information.
- View electronic tax form 1098-T tuition statement online.
- Financial aid disbursements and student account refunds.
- Financial Aid application status online, including a list of incomplete financial aid steps.
- Financial Aid package, including ability to accept or decline offers online.
- Promissory note completion and loan processing requirements.
- Registration, adding, and dropping classes, viewing semester grades, viewing appointment times and holds, update emergency contacts, ability to restrict address and telephone number in Outlook, and the ability to change mailing addresses online
- Receiving the following notices to your University of Missouri e-mail account:
- Monthly billing statements and payment due date
- Notification when the electronic tax form 1098-T tuition statement is available for viewing.
- Reminder notices when there are upcoming deadlines regarding your finances.
- Reminder notices if something in your Financial Aid file is incomplete.
- Messages from the Registrar's office regarding priority registration and enrollment dates along with other information related to the beginning and end of semester academic policies and procedures.
- Be allowed to make requests with our offices through e-mail for student specific information or adjustments.
If you do not consent, you should know that no access will be available to the following electronic information and online processes:
- You have no online access to your myZou Student Center.
- Register for courses on-line.
- Financial Aid information and processes.
- Billing information.
- Student records information and processes (end of term grade reports will not be mailed regardless of your e-Consent decision).
- No electronic correspondence will be permitted with Cashiers, Student Financial Assistance, and Registrar's offices:
- All correspondence will be sent through the U. S. Postal Service, which may delay processing.
- No e-mail exchanges will be allowed between you and staff in Cashiers, Student Financial Assistance & Scholarships Office and the Registrar's Office.
- All requests must be made in writing or in person.
- if your mailing address is not kept current with the University, you may experience significant delays.
